Current conditions

Winter will leave us again at the weekend, even though Saturday will initially bring quite cold temperatures. Warm and relatively dry Mediterranean air is on its way to us from the southwest. In the process, extensive high-altitude cloud fields will repeatedly pass through, occasionally shading or dimming the sunshine. These high clouds indicate a significant warming trend, which will peak on Monday. The frost line will rise to around 3500 meters above sea level. Additionally, the sun will make a good appearance at the start of the week. On Tuesday, a barely impactful cold front will graze us. However, this will cause the airflow to shift from southwest to west and eventually northwest, allowing cooler air masses to gradually seep in by midweek. Precipitation, however, is not yet in sight.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“
