Current conditions

An extension of the Azores High is clearly taking control of the weather. The weather will improve significantly and lastingly on Thursday. The clouds will dissipate completely, and bright, sunny weather will set in. After a cool night, it will quickly become much warmer during the day. Late summer is really picking up speed. We will see even warmer air masses of subtropical origin on Friday and over the weekend. A southerly foehn wind will push temperatures up even further. Indian summer could even bring temperatures close to 30 degrees in some low-lying areas. Next week, the trend is likely to be downward: a frontal system is approaching from the British Isles, which could bring rain clouds and cooler air over the course of the week. This development is still very uncertain!
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“
