Current conditions

A high pressure system with its center over southern Scandinavia has increasingly worked its way in our direction and will now take command of the weather for the rest of the week. However, we will still only be on the edge of the high. Nevertheless, bright sunshine will be the weather-determining element up to and including Friday and at the same time temperatures will generally rise to a clearly spring-like warm level. With the warming and the abundant sunshine, a few harmless cumulus clouds will form in the afternoons, but these will hardly be a nuisance. The weather will then begin to change again permanently at the weekend. The high pressure system will increasingly retreat to the North Atlantic, so that we will once again be caught up in a reviving, increasingly late-winter cold northerly current on its eastern flank. A weak cold front will initiate the drop in temperatures from Saturday to Sunday.
„As a meteorologist in the region, I am not only very familiar with the small-scale meteorological particuliarities that distinguish the Arlberg region from other regions, but also with the demands that locals and guests place on a regional weather report.“

Sunshine skiing or powder snow fun?

The weather in the mountains can change from one moment to the next. There might only be a few minutes between blue skies and snowfall. Especially in Lech Zürs am Arlberg, where the Lechquellen range, the Lechtal and the Allgäu Alps, and the Verwall range meet. Our aim is to provide you with the most reliable weather forecast. That’s why we put our trust in meteorologist Thomas Pichler, who lives and works in the Arlberg region. He knows about the particularities of the area and accurately forecasts the weather – even for the special microclimate of Lech Zürs.
